So guys let's talk baking today!!I know it gets a bit tricky at times with the timings & temprature settings as each oven has it's own mind!!!
But nevertheless with a few trial & errors I have somewhat mastered this art...so I want to share it with you guys!
Baking is not tough at all but it sure needs you to understand a few things...firstly the workings of the electronic you are going to be using,secondly measuring the ingredients aptly & thirdly being able to judge the right consistency...which come naturally with experience!!
In between it's around five in the morning & I am sitting in my balcony in the cool breeze cuddling my little mushu...it feels almost perfect!!
So getting back let me tell you this is a very simple recipe & won't even take too long for you to make it
Chocolate Walnut Brownies
(makes 10)
Ingredients:
White butter 2/3cup
Brown sugar 1 1/2cups
Eggs 2
Vanilla essence 1tsp
Flour(maida) 1/2 cup
Cocoa 1/2 cup
Baking powder 1/4tsp
Walnuts(crushed roughly with a rolling pin) 3/4 cup
For topping:
Chocolate sauce 1/2 tsp per brownie
Walnuts(crushed roughly) 1/2 cup
Preparation:
1)Take a heavy deep pan & melt butter in it on low heat.gradually add brown sugar & keep mixing well with a wooden spoon for abt 2-3 mins till blended well.
2)Remove from fire & allow it to cool a bit,then add one egg & mix well with the wooden spoon & repeat with the second egg.add essence.
3)Sift flour,baking powder and cocoa together.then add the crushed walnuts & mix with hands.
4)Mix the above flour mixture gradually & gently to the butter-egg mixture with the wooden spoon.the consistency should be quite thick.
5)Grease a 7"-8" tin generously & transfer the cake mixture into it getting around an inch thick layer of it.sprinkle the walnuts mentioned in topping.
6)Pre heat the oven for around 15 to 20 mins & then start baking at 160"C for about 30 mins or till done.
7)Let it cool & then cut into neat pieces & remove with a flat spoon.
8)Once the pieces are cut slit then in between with a knife(around 3/4th) & spread chocolate sauce in between.
9)Bake them once again in the oven at the same temp for around 5 to 10 mins.
And vola you are done!!!!!!!
Serve them hot & you can accompany them with any ice cream of your choice or strawberries or anything
else you might enjoy them with!!
