Wedding Exhibition!!!!!

Hey people i visited this wedding exhibition yesterday & everything there was just sooo gorgeous...

The pastel shaded organza's,the delicate lacework, bold patchworks, the silk & the zardosi...everything was so exquisite & rich.

I personally love  fabrics that are semi opaque & fall with great ease and impart a refined & elegant look.

Indian wear has become so popular all over the world thanks to our designers who have taken designing to a whole new level...from the fabrics used to the drape of  their outfits..everything embodies a certain richness.Their impeccable styling especially in bridal wear makes them a dream for every girl to have!!

It was a lot of of fun trying out the immaculately designed pieces of jewellery...all so gorgeous.
I love costume jewellery too...especially ones made of crystals, faux oversized pearls,semi-precious & imitation stones.....so much variety to choose from!!

So all in all it was great fun...& i will follow up more on bridal wear soon!!

p.s :i was so tempted to buy most of them..haha!!

Yellow Yellow Turmeric

Howmuch ever said is less about the antiseptic,Turmeric.its known for ages for its healing properties.& trust me it always lives up to the word.
I am gonna be sharing a few ways of using this yellow powder for your beauty benefits.
In btwn if possible rather than using the normal turmeric(found in ur kitchen) u can purchase 'aami haldi' also a form of turmeric, but is more useful in cosmetic purposes.

1)add some turmeric with lemon juice, enough to cover your face & neck, keep it on for a while & wash it off.it will give you a good glow as turmeric helps in depigmentation & it also evens out skin tone.
2)turmeric is know to reduce acne.mix it with sandalwood powder & water in a bowl & apply this on face.it reduces the emergence of acne.
3)applying it to a cut or bruise will reduce the swelling, thanx to its healing properties.
4)for a body scrub, mix it with some gramflour & water and scrub it before a shower for a good glow.
5)mix a little turmeric with sugarcane juice & apply it on ur face,to fight with wrinkle problems,as it is said to banish wrinkles.

So discipline is the key & use it effeciently at least twice or thrice in a week to enjoy all its benefits.
p.s: u can also mix a liitle of it in ur sunscreen to match ur skintone!!

So happy tutmeric guys!!

Win BroWnie points by making these BROWNIES

So guys let's talk baking today!!I know it gets a bit tricky at times with the timings & temprature settings as each oven has it's own mind!!!
But nevertheless with a few trial & errors I have somewhat mastered this art...so I want to share it with you guys!

Baking is not tough at all but it sure needs you to understand a few things...firstly the workings of the electronic you are going to be using, secondly measuring the ingredients aptly & thirdly being able to judge the right consistency...which come naturally with experience!!

In between it's around five in the morning & I am sitting in my balcony in the cool breeze cuddling my little mushu...it feels almost perfect!!

So getting back let me tell you this is a very simple recipe & won't even take too long for you to make it

Baking powder 1/4tsp
Walnuts(crushed roughly with a rolling pin) 3/4 cup

For topping:
Chocolate sauce 1/2 tsp per brownie
Walnuts(crushed roughly) 1/2 cup

3)Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa together.then add the crushed walnuts & mix with hands.
4)Mix the above flour mixture gradually & gently to the butter-egg mixture with the wooden spoon.the consistency should be quite thick.
5)Grease a 7"-8" tin generously & transfer the cake mixture into it getting around an inch thick layer of it.sprinkle the walnuts mentioned in topping.
6)Pre heat the oven for around 15 to 20 mins & then start baking at 160"C for about 30 mins or till done.
7)Let it cool & then cut into neat pieces & remove with a flat spoon.
8)Once the pieces are cut slit then in between with a knife(around 3/4th) & spread chocolate sauce in between.
9)Bake them once again in the oven at the same temp for around 5 to 10 mins.

And vola you are done!!!!!!!
Serve them hot & you can accompany them with any ice cream of your choice or strawberries or anything
